Tall Ship Visits

Whenever there is a tall Ship visiting Cape Town Cape Windjammers Education Trust organizes educational visits for on these ships for the youth of its partner organisationas and key stakeholders. Youth and adults have the chane to get a real insight to the life on tall ships and are inspired by the fascination by the spirit of these ships: How fantastic would it be to have a ship like this for the use of life skill, leadership and career development of the South African youth!

Russian 4 masted Barque Kruzenshtern, 2nd biggest Tall Ship in the world visiting Cape Town in June 2006. Working in the rigg is a challenging task, not only aboard the Kruzenshtern.

Dutch 3 masted Barque De Europa, visiting Cape Town in April 2007 on its voyage from South America to Europe. This is the ship the first South African Team ever will join the Tall Ships’ Races 2007 in the Baltic Sea. Shortlisted candidates for Team SA with Patrick Fraser, Antje Nahnsen and Alexander Allavena during a reception aboard the Europa.
